   Do you think that the world will become more technologically advanced 300 years from now?
   
   Do you see the year 2312 as more advanced sci-fi, sleek, techno-socio  civilization or a complete collapse of organized society with a post apocalyptic contraction of population and a return to a neo-medieval serfdom with corporations overlords as the ruling undead?

   If we make it to 2312, I couldn't imagine what life would be like. It could be just like life today, or 100% different. I wonder if we would have gone backwards, like in the movie Time Machine, when he goes way into the future, and people look like they just stepped out of the stone age. Or, if we would be like the cast on Star Trek, exploring other worlds.
   In this last century it amazes me how quickly we have advanced! In 1900 we were using telegraphs. by the 50's we had computers (well not us, but the goverment did), and just look at our military equipment. That is how you can really tell the advances in our technology as a society, look at what the military has compared to 50 years ago!
   Maybe, the world will end up like my favorite movie of all time "Idiocracy"...if so, we are in trouble!!

      That was a good comparison, when you spoke about the stone-age looking people on the movie Time Machine and the Star Trek scenario.  We could also be slaves to an evil alien race, or we could have done blown our selves to bits by then.  Who knows?

      Good answer! We wouldn't know anyway, so why think about it. Kind of puts me in my place too, I often think to much and its really not that necessary!

   I think she has the right idea. If you want to know what we'll have soon look at the military. I think that, if we don't kill ourselves through war, we will have more of a chance of living in a world from Terminator. Computers rule our lives. We are so dependent upon technology that it will be our end.

      Computers will be the end of us. I agree with that statement because we are so dependant on them. I don't believe that they will all of a sudden "Come Alive" and take over. (I had a lot more to write to prove my point, but I'm limited to characters)

   I know we won't be here and we shouldn't worry, but what the heck? I'm not going to win the lottery either, but people keep asking me what I'll do with the money.
        I believe there is a point where we will reach our limit. When? Who knows. But you can't get faster than instantaneous or more accurate than perfect. And heaven forbid, we ever have the neccessity for either. I guess we will keep trying though.

   Difficult to answer. I feel one should not think so much into the future. Today humans have the capacity to explode this earth into bits within minutes and there is no dearth of mentally sick and sadistic humans.
   So lets live as per what Jesus said 'Sufficient unto the day are it's own troubles' (I might not be stating the actual words here)
