A flop...and then a flip...and then a Piers Morgan interview to cover his tuckus...poor guy...just doesn't have an ethical bone in his body. The man has been a money-making Mormon for too long...many Mormons are quite wealthy because of their strict behavioural doctrines.
It's just too bad that Romney looks like a slick, grey-sideburned car salesmen...from the 80's.
He just seems so old-fashioned...out of touch with modern needs and post-war changes in society. For him to go to London and complain about "unpreparedness?" Lunacy, not the kind of naive international diplomacy that will win an election...he needs a techie crew that does research and will remake the stiff, old school ideas of this past his prime presidential candidate...and he's so young...that's what is really sad about his awkward, flip-flopping persona--how much does this man have to hide to be so wishy-washy?
I like old fashioned. And, no that wasn't me who voted you down. I like your answer, but I also like good old-fashioned style. And, there is no crime in being rich, otherwise, people wouldn't play the lottery.
I have no problem, by the way, Marlene with rich folks...or the pursuit of wealth. These are noble ventures and poverty is an enemy of humanity--just as laziness is a blight--thanks for your comment.
He is a flip-flopper. I call him a chameleon(He changes his colors). It depends on who's company he is in what his views are. Plus, He is so out of touch with the pulse of America it is unreal. Does he know how it feels to need something and not be able to afford it? No. He know how it feels to want something and buy it. He is an ego maniac. The rich (Like himself and his friends) will get richer and the poor will continue to struggle. I also think he has much to hide or he would release anything they wanted. The KING of outsourcing jobs doesn't want it to come back and bite him. He didn't care about his employees, Just the all mighty dollar.
He's not the king of outsourcing. That's just what is reported in the news. Check out the facts, with dates and all - not what is reported in the news - real documentation. You will be astounded to discover who the "real" king of outsourcing is.
How can we check the facts on Romney when he won't provide them?? I know he's not the king, Being hypothetical, But he played his role in outsourcing. Why is he hiding the last 27 years??
I just think he's human. I mean, the London officials themselves made it public knowledge that their security system was not ready. In fact, the company who was given the bid to provide security is in trouble with the officials because it turns out the company does not have the manpower and equipment to provide security at the level required of the event. So, the military had to step in quickly to cover the slack. This is public knowledge. Romney's comment was spot on. But, it's like when a woman asks you if she looks fat in her dress - some things you just don't say out loud. That's all.
I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, someone in the spotlight like Romney is should have enough common sense to choose their words more carefully. I am not a Romney fan, that being said, I am happy to let him have enough rope to hang himself so to speak. He is not in touch with the average American, he does not know what it is to struggle or need. I agree with Randslam on his comment of international diplomacy. It is very inappropriate for a presidential candidate to insult another nation.
There is no crime in being rich, many rich men that aspire to higher office are relevant to those who are not so affluent, but not Mitt Romney. This guy is the consummate Thurston Howell, and lets not forget his wife Lovie.
I agree with other posters that the Mittwit needs to pay more attention to what he says and this is not the first time, this has happened before. Because of a few misplaced words his international debut has become a flop, giving Europe a reason to consider........
What is the question again? Everyone has an answer to the comment, but what is the question?
Yeah, I know what you mean. I think I answered the question based on my opinion - that I think Romney is human and his comment is spot on. But, everyone else is taking pot shots about his policies which is not the answer to the question.
Actually this was my first posting here. For whatever reason, they did not print my question! Only the headline. The question was, " Do you think Romney, will make a comment on the opening ceremonies. Or has he learned his lesson."
To be fair to Mitt, his recent foreign gaffes are no more stupid than what usually flaps out of his mouth. The difference is that he isn't doing it in front of the crowds of automatic cheerleaders that he is used to. Regardless of anything else, I just don't see how this man stands on a stage with Obama and doesn't look like a complete tool.

Were you impressed by the London Olympics 2012 Opening Ceremony?
by Susan Reid 11 years ago
So already Romney has insulted London and pissed off the head of the Olympics and PM Cameron by expressing concern they won't be ready in time. Not scoring big points with that.If he can't handle himself in an English speaking nation, how in the heck can we set him loose in really culturally...

If Mitt Romney wins the presidency, what would the affects be on the economy and society in general? Furthermore, how would YOU feel about a Romney win?

Does he really think that the solution to the dwindling social security fund is to privatize it? Perhaps it would be a better idea to return the money that has been "borrowed" without our consent? Does he really think that wall street, the people partially responsible for our...
