   You're starting off on the pretense he's going to loose. Obviously you're not for Romney by the wording of your question, thus making it leading and only meant to insight an argument.

      Not pretense. No on knows who will win yet,  but the race is close, and Obama is still leading, especially in the swing states. Not good for Romney.

      IMHO, the question is very leading, asking more from a jump on the "I Dislike Romney Band Wagon" approach. And, from what I've seen here on HubPages so far, it will degenerate into an argument quickly.

      Cascoly, what's your prescribed time before someone is allowed to form an opinion here of HP? Are you the official time keeper of such things? At 50, I'm perfectly capable of forming an opinion even if it differs from yours.

      I don't know if I would go that far. I just thought it funny Cascoly would question my ability to form an opinion just because I'm new to HP. Yes, I've seen a couple of what I would consider "nutcases" but Cascoly certainly isn't one of them.

      If Obama faces an enthusiasm gap in a major Democrat city like Philadelphia how do you think he will fare in places that are less reliably Democrat?

      undermyhat- He doesn't face an enthusiasm gap in Philadelphia. Anyway, no Democrat is going to allow Romney to win. He doesn't even have to lead in some polls, just keep Romney from getting too far ahead.

      Obama's hole just keeps getting deeper.  Romney has spent his entire majority as a competent person - very different than Obama and a profound advantage.

   Mitt is a candidate of the 1%. That is where he lives and works. Those are the people he knows, and those are the ones who will benefit from his policies. The rest of us will be screwed. So far he has been shielded inside the bubble of the American far right, but when he steps out of that to try and get moderate and independent votes his true nature will be revealed and he will look as incompetent and as out of touch with the real world as he showed himself to be over in Europe. Romney is the guy in the backseat of the car that pulls up and asks you if you have any Grey Poupon. He has done absolutely nothing to alter that image and at this point he seems unable to do so.

      The way things are going right now? You had better prepare for the likelihood that Obama will still be President. Besides, it is over 90 days away. Much can happen that Romney does not want to happen. Maybe he should release those tax returns.

      "a little over 90 days"  When I posted that it was 96 days or  "a little over 90 days" away.  If Obama wins again we had all better be ready - 94 days is not very long to store up enough food and water to weather that disaster.

   I don't think Mitt Romney is going to lose the election. If you are looking at NBC polls you might think Obama is going to win but if you look at other polls it is neck and neck. Obama has a very low popularity rating for an incumbant. I wouldn't be counting Mitt out so fast.

      When one digs into the polls, one discovers that Democrats are sampled at a rate greater than their turn out percentages in 2008 - a very enthusiastic year for Democrats.  This over sampling can skew the polls by enough to place Romney slightly ahead

   I think that while the majority of people are ready for change, they (we) also fear it.  So they will likely end up re-electing Obama because he is what they know and Romney is an unknown in terms of what he can do in the presidential office.

   I'm not a huge Obama fan, but the more I see Mitt, the more he reminds me of Max Headroom; mechanical, rehearsed and insincere. Even though they may be legitimate, he seems to be going to great lengths to hide facts of his past activities. Even if he is innocent of any wrong doings, it looks bad. Doubt, not facts ,will lose you votes in a hurry. Cheesy grits? Give me a break. One thing was cheesy and it wasn't the grits.
