Seems to me Palin is the one who started the negative attacks against those who disagreed with her.
There are plenty of conservative politicians who I would not call stupid. And many of them also wish she would disappear.
Palin is definitely not an idiot. She has executed her SP branding strategy very well. She has achieved celebrity status.
She makes it virtually impossible to ignore her -- she's everywhere!
But, like Paris Hilton, the Kardashian sisters, and yes, Snookie, being in the limelight doesn't mean your opinions should be taken seriously.
MM, once again I find myself agreeing with you! lol
I agree. She is a master of self-promotion, although she probably has a lot of advisors (like Bill Kristol) who are telling her what to say and do, especially when it comes to politics (sorry, but I have a hard time imagining her knowing what to say about quantitative easing on her own).
Where she is really a master is in tapping the overwhelming feeling of resentment among poor whites, who bristle at the "elites" and minorities, and what they see as the world geared towards them. Even though she is a multimillionaire despite being a failure at just about everything she's attempted professionally (college, governor of Alaska, reality show star), she still imagines herself a victim that no one will give a break.
It's hard to imagine someone feeling the victim when they're paid millions for just pretending to be something they're not, but she does and her supporters project their own sentiments of victimhood on her as well.
Nuclearmom,
We have been allied with South Korea for 60+ years. North Korea has always been a military powerhouse and extremely volatile. We have never, ever underestimated N. Korea's potential. This situation is not new, it is just at a new level.
Palin isn't adding any insights to the situation. She displays a rudimentary (at best) grasp of the conflict and even the players! Why does she insist on commenting without first educating herself? Even Fox News commentators do some research before spouting off half cocked.
Personally, I put my faith in the POTUS, Secretary of State and our diplomatic and military advisers to figure out a strategy. And I trust that they are paying Mrs. Palin no mind whatsoever!

I heard this yesterday and today.http://www.kansascity.com/2010/07/23/21 … ponse.htmlDoes N.Korea really understand what will happen to them if they Nuke our Navy? And what do you think should be our response to a Military strike against our navy by N.Korea?

Every day I refresh my "North Korea" search on Goolge news, but always the same ol' story. "North Korea threatens to attack bla bla bla...". I wonder will leader Kim Jong Un actually do carry out any of his proposed threats. Possibly he is just talking the talk as to strengthen...

I'm struggling to keep up with all this. Is Trump really planning to attack North Korea if they do another nuclear test? Is it seriously being considered as a possibility? Or is it just sabre rattling? And is this type of brinksmanship the best approach to foreign policy?

North Korea was behind this...without a doubt

Will the small step by Kim be a giant leap for the two Koreas? Does Trump deserve any credit for the same?Ofcourse its all too early and the skeptics need much more than just photo-ops. Nonetheless, this is historic moment as Kim walked across the demarcation line at the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). A...

Do you think North Korea would risk a nuclear attack on the US or one of its allies?North Korea for what ever reason is flexing its military muscle and directing it towards the United States. The United States claims it will remain strong in its stance to use nuclear power as a deterrent to a...
