In April 1967, the world was blessed when a spanking new baby boy entered the world, eager to make his mark. (Little did he know that his mark would indeed be his middle name "Mark”.) Born in Sheffield to Tom and Pamela, I do not really remember the early years in England; my earliest memories of life are from Tonteg, a little village in South Wales.

I honestly cannot complain about my upbringing; sure there were ups and downs, but generally I had a wonderful childhood, and cannot blame any of my 'mental' problems (*grin*) on my parents - they are all self inflicted.

I do have an older brother, Gary, who was both on a pedestal and also was my worst enemy at times; he had two years at me, and loved to demonstrate how much better he was at everything! It was only as I grew that I began to beat him at chess, and the later at tennis! Nowdays we respect each other, and there is no longer a competition between us - although I still have the biggest TV – at least for a couple of weeks anyway.

I have always been interested in writing, and in my school days always produced decent stories that were always read in class – I loved to see people enjoy my writing, and that is probably what has driven me to write so much on the web.

I mostly write opinion style or review style ‘pages’, although I do have hundreds of poems listed on a few poetry sites;  my interests are varied, hence my writing is varied – I can write on classic books like Lord of the Rings, or discuss important issues such as Global Warming. I don’t pretend to be a brilliant writer, but I feel I am good and hopefully have the ability to get my point across well.
