robie2 on HubPages
Robie2 has been around the block a few times and has more miles on her than her avatar would lead you to believe. Back in the day, she and her ex renovated a crurmbling brownstone in Brooklyn, raised two children and were deeply involved in community activism. A military brat, she grew up in various parts of the United States and has been lucky enough to visit and live in several foreign countries.
Robie2 was formed as a writer in the days of typewriters and fax machines. She discovered the internet in 1996 when it was young and she was younger. For several years she had a website about travel to Iceland and wrote a bit of content here and there for others. Her first computer was a Mac with 16 megabytes of RAM.
These days, she lives quietly in a small town that looks like a movie set and is crammed with restaurants, antique shops and week-end tourists. Here she scribbles away on various writing projects and indulges her passion for procrastination. On Hubpages, she writes about politics, travel, health, the internet and whatever else strikes her somewhat eccentric fancy.
Her personal blog is Pinkpackrat@Play . She talks politics on Political Packrat and writes about the environment from time to time on Peachygreen

You sound like my kind of woman. The first computer I ever used was as big as a baby grand piano and had a "screen" about one inch tall and five inches wide. And it was considered small because it didn't need an entire room to hold "the works." And your town that looks like a movie set on the Delaware River sounds like my kind of place! Am looking for spots to spend my summer months...too hot here! My town looks like a movie set too, just a totally different movie...palm trees, swimming pools, convertibles.

Hi Robie. Great hubs. I like your topics. I can't wait to get into the "meat" of them all. (As you can tell, I really liked your meat one.) Looking forward to enjoying more.
