I agree that you must wear comfortable shoes for any golf tournament. I would also add the importance of wearing a small hat with a brim. Large hats are not allowed because they obstruct the view of others, but you will need some protection from the sun.

Do be aware also that many clubs do not allow denim. Jeans are just not appropriate attire on a golf course. Wear dress slacks or dress shorts.

Most of all, dress comfortably so that you can relax and enjoy the day.
