Is clicking on ads posted on fellow hubbers hub a violation of google's TOS?
If you are going to be using AdSense, I heartily recommend you yourself go read the AdSense TOS so that you are sure you understand it.
In answer to your question, under certain conditions, it can be.
Thank you very much mam for the word of advise as always.....
relache, I usually agree with your comments, but not this one.
I would suggest that HubPages itself, keep a CURRENT copy of THEIR interpretation of Google's TOS in an easily noticed FAQ/box on Hub Pages. IN PLAIN ENGLISH.
Who can read and understand Google's gobbledygook? Most of us have other things to do than attempt to parse pages of legalese. Every fricking website in the world (including HubPages) thinks that we have nothing else to do than to master THEIR individual idiosyncratic policies.
For example, every time I sign out, the logout page shows a Google Ad. Who is that for? If for me, I haven't clicked, even when interested, because I am unsure of the policies.
If I am unsure, you can bet that 90% (whatever) of other Hubbers are also unsure.
I was told a long time ago that it is only a violation if you are trading clicks. If you are looking though hubs and see an ad you are interested in then you can click it. However if you clicks Joes ad and then Joe comes back and clicks yours that may look suspicious. I think this is why I do not click on any ads myself. As I am paranoid. Who wants to lose a decent check on some ad. They really need to come out and make us feel okay, I am sure they lose out on money because of this. Having said that they can tell if you are up to something, so all in all I would not worry about it too much. If you see something you like check it out.

"Clicking on other people's ads is a big no,no and will likely result in getting banned from AdSense and HubPages."
Best explanation: from humagaia "You as a signed up member are a part of HP in the eyes of Google. By clicking an ad you are likely to be clicking an HP adsense ad 40% of the time (thereby not rewarding the writer but potentially HP themselves). If it is deemed that HP condones this their adsense account will be closed."

Something just occured to me, not only are we writers here but we are ALSO CONSUMERS. I see nothing wrong with clicking on a fellow hubbers google ad if it's something we are interested in. I am getting the feeling that some people are afraid to do this for fear of reprisal for being click happy...

I don't know if this is workable or not, it's just a suggestion. However I was just reading a thread about hubbers "rewarding" other hubbers by clicking their adverts. My suggestion: Since we cannot see Kontera adverts while logged in, could the same be applied to Adsense?Obviously there...

Is it OK to click on ads of interest of other hubbers. I have never done that before because I'm afraid of being penalized by google since I have a google adsence account. Today I saw a great ad on someones hub for a free coupon offer for Tide Pods but was afraid to click on it.Thanks,Creativelycc

I got into an interesting discussion on another thread, and thought it would make a good thread itself. The question of the day is how do you feel about other hubbers clicking on an ad in your hubs?Personally I really don't see a problem with it as long as the ad interests them from a good quality...
