Same Sex Attraction is NOT a Choice!! Does God Actually Make Mistakes?
Love is love - No-one has the right to judge others.

Fighting for equality
Does God actually make mistakes?
What are the 'true' evils in this world?
Are we being taught the wrong concepts after all?
Can hate ever be replaced by love and logic?
The one thing we can be sure of is that: Bigots, Bullies, and Haters are all one and the same!!
The greatest problem in our society is not that homosexuals are demanding equal rights for themselves: No-one in this country should have to "demand", or "fight for", equal rights.
It is a 'birth right' for anyone born in a free society.
Homosexuality is not a choice.
This misconception that it is, must be corrected before healing can begin.
Can God actually make mistakes? Does Nature not take care of itself to protect against over population disasters?
It is not 'God' or 'Mother nature' that makes mistakes. it is man who creates the problems for others, when their first interest is to mind the business of others instead of their own. When man cannot fix the problems in their own lives, they have no right trying to "fix" the lives of others around them. Especially when their proposed "fix" is based on flawed logic and superstition.
No. The problem is the proliferation of the bigots, bullies and haters. These people are only the symptoms for the problems: they are also the victims and the products of a society that is ignorant of the facts, and hell bent of clinging to superstition, hatred and fear.
Teaching Hatred to Children
Superstition, hatred, guilt and fear: these are not traits born unto the individual.
These are traits indoctrinated into the minds of innocent children by the hatefulness of the religions that hold these negative and evil emotions as basics of their beliefs.
I have stated hundreds of times that religion, as we know it today, is a cancer in our society; teaching hatred and intolerance that is based on nothing more than ignorance, fear and misinformation.
It permeates the very souls of all the people it touches. A self perpetuating evil that needs to be excised from our culture. And the only means to combat it is proper education.
How did religious beliefs turn from a good thing to an evil entity?
One must begin to question whether it ever was a 'good thing' in the first place.
Being brought up as a Christian and taught exactly the same way the young are being taught today, it must be noted that the one major difference was: My parents did not teach hatred or intolerance.
They were staunch Republican Catholics who believed in basic principles of good. They were pioneers in teaching us that there is good and bad in all of us, and we are not to ever judge another person for any reason.
Those were the long lost days when Republicans actually cared more about the needs of the people than they did about lining their pockets with gold and protecting their benefactors - Corporate America and the radical right.
There were some homosexual people in our small town that some kids, and their parents, laughed at and called names. My parents would not allow that kind of behavior from their children. And taught us that this behavior is wrong, hurtful and unacceptable to them , to our God, and in any decent society.
They always said of any one less fortunate than we were, or "different" than the "norm":
"Always remember that, there but for the grace of God, go I ".
I have never forgotten those words. This was probably the most profound thought ever instilled into our young, and still innocent, minds.
As i matured and watched the hatred grow in our society, i was flabbergasted by it.
When the priests began preaching hatred in Sunday sermons, i knew it was wrong and wanted no part of it.
Equality for everyone?
Common recurring themes
After searching around and visiting other religions, i realized that these themes were the same for all of them:
1). Condemnation for the 'sinner', instead of -
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
2). Consternation by all religions toward homosexuals based solely on one flawed passage from and ancient book (the bible) that was inserted long after the original bible was concocted as a political tool to control the people through fear and intimidation.
- This hatred was spewed from every pulpit across the globe - instead of - "there, but for the grace of God, go I'.
And so goodness and righteousness was abandoned and replaced by the vast teaching of hatred, with a greater reverence for a vengeful and hateful God instead of the God of love.
It surely came to pass that these negative, totally unfounded beliefs had replaced the old dogma of:
- "love thy neighbor, as thyself",
- "do unto others as you would have them do unto you",
- "Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone",
- and , "judge thee not, lest ye be judged".
It paved the way for the other atrocities we find so prevalent in our society today:
- the wide spread concept that greed is good,
- government corruption,
- revering the almighty dollar above basic decency,
- selfishness
- judging others by what they have, or don't have,
- judging others by narrow minded standards,
- and the worst sin of all - passing this evil on to their your own children..
This is not Christianity!!
It is evilness and corruption disguised with the facade of Christianity and all the other base religions.
Stop the hate
Shedding the evil
I wanted no part in the evil that those religions were teaching.
True Christians, or other good people of faith, do not behave this way.
Bigotry, Bullying and Hatred have become the acceptable norm of today.
Recent events, filling the news these days, have only reinforced my beliefs that religion has become nothing more than a cancerous entity that has to be "treated" as such.
It needs to be either removed totally from society, or learn to embrace a doctrine of love and tolerance rather than hatred.
Jesus must be rolling over in his grave to see how his teachings of love, acceptance and goodness of heart have been so distorted and corrupted.
To see politicians using this hatred to further their own self interests is appalling and should be unacceptable by any of us.
With Christianity becoming an evil force, we need to reconsider - how this happened - and how to begin to correct (treat) this malignancy if we expect it (Christianity or any other religion) to survive. It surely will not survive if we allow it to continue on its present course.
Our schools need to start teaching logic and ethics in the early formative years to try to counter the current trend of teaching our children this fear and hatred by religious factions.
Religion has way too much power, control and influence over the formation and shaping of young minds to allow it to continue on its current path of destruction.
We can't even rely on parents to teach their children properly when they themselves are so damaged by this indoctrination of evilness.
The "old ways" of the past need to be left there - in the past - where they belong.
