   Definitely. Rather this is the best way to preach anything. First exactly apply that thing on yourself and let others see how wonderful it is and adopt it. Same goes for kindness.

   I think it can, a bit like the 'pay it forward' idea. I like this, its just a shame there are people who won't adopt it, and will just take advantage...

   Have you ever heard of the term "Paying it Forward"? This term is exactly what you're asking. If someone does a kind act towards you, you perform a kind act on another and so on, and so forth. It's something they taught us 4 years ago in high school, my sophomore year. It's a great idea and more can be read on it if you do a google search. I believe there is a website and books and a plethora of other things that can be used to find more information!

    It definitely depends on the person. Some people will take that as a Pay It Forward type of situation but so many people are selfish these days, they have no idea why they'd want to give their time to others without something in return.

    I’m going to say, YES!  Because it works on me.  Now, I am generally a kind person.  And I think it is nice to see others doing nice things for people.  It inspires me to try to do more (when I can).  However, some people just don’t get it.  Or worst, they cannot see themselves doing something for nothing.  And you just may know of few of these types of people, because they seem to be everywhere.  Just like the kind types of people are everywhere.

    Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It all depends on the individual. In most cases, I believe it inspires people to do good in return when good has been done to them

    Yes, I think kind acts, in general, encourage others to do the same. Lots of people are encouraged by others taking heart and doing something good for them. Lots of people take this encouragement and do something good with it themselves. For example, somebody held the door open for me the other day. On the way out, I made it a point to hold the door open for someone else.

    Kind acts are the real key to human survival. It is the best foundation for world peace, equitable use of natural resources, concern for our posterity, and proper care for the environment. Each of us must learn not only to work for just his or her own self, family or nation, but for the benefit of all mankind. Ultimately each of us is a human being like everyone else; we all desire happiness and disdain suffering.

    I believe so. Some people may not reciprocate immediately but if they get exposed more to be a witness to more acts of kindness, pretty soon, it will rub off on them and eventually be encouraged to do the same.

    It always inspires me to do something kind. Life can sometimes move so quickly that it can be all too easy to gloss over another's needs. It's always good to recognize a good deed and be able to pass it on.

    Yes, I do.  One day the lady in the car in front of me bought me a Starbuck's for no reason.  I played it forward the next day.  My son passed away a couple of years ago and I remembered the people who called and sent cards later in the year.  It made me feel remembered. I have made it a point to do that when I can.  I have also done this with volunteer groups I work with.  I only wish it would work with in-town drivers and people parking their cars to shop.  I will keep on trying.

    It only encourages them, if they also have a kind heart already, but someone, who just goes around taking advantage of people, they just think they are slick. That's why acts of kindness go to people who really need them. I wouldn't give a homeless man, who is capable of standing and panhandling for 16 hours, and not work. Then go and stay at a near by hotel for 100 a night. (true story). If it is someone ,who seems sincere and needs help, I would do what I could.

    I hope so... I left my job in order to volunteer and do "kind acts" all the time. I am now dependent on kind acts from others for food, water and shelter.
    There will always be a part of people that will be like "what's in it for me?" and another part that is capable of gratuitous acts of love.
    I am convinced that by acting kindly one can encourage kindness. It's a circle, the human mind is made in such a way that you cannot get angry against somebody who's smiling and telling he/she loves you. The anger comes down immediately. If one witnesses acts of love and kindness, it HAS to be inspiring...
    Keep you faith for the human species. It's worth it

    Yes in certain circumstances. Say if there were a kid getting bullied if someone were to step in to stop it, there would be more of a chance that another person will step in. But say if there was a person who found a wallet on the side of the street and they found and returned it to the rightful owner and someone saw them do it. If the person who saw him/her do it also notices a wallet on the side of the street they may or may not take it or turn it in. I would say this circumstance is honestly more based on the individual person, people are all different so one person may be greedy and take money out of the wallet or they may be nice and return it.

    I think it has to be in the person in the first place.  Kindness to me is a characteristic trait.  People are kind because that is who they are.  People may once in awhile do something kind because somebody else did, but to me kind people are usually kind 24/7.
