Should Girls Text Guys First or Should They Just Shy And Wait For Guys To Text Them First?

No and you shouldn't call first either...it's not shy, it's the chase and the thrill of it...it is a little mystery, and it is less desperate.

If a guy gives a girl his number, then I think he would obviously like to hear from her, so why not go ahead and text?  I think men are more cowardly than women when it comes to these things - a little shove doesn't hurt.  Make your message sound kind of laid-back and see what happens.  Better than sitting around waiting - life is short and there are a lot of men out there!

Normally boys should approach or text first. But  the demand of today's   generation is quick in every field  and thus either of you should not wait to text. Anyone can express feelings but the issue is not to delay but  to  be prompt to get the result.

In general, it's best to wait to see if he'll CALL you. Getting a text rather than a phonecall is a bit lame when you are first starting a relationship - He may not be too interested if he's just sending a text and not calling you, afterall, if he really likes you he'll want to hear your voice! But if a girl feels she wants to text a guy she usually will.

What's wrong with texting a guy first? Now you gotta keep in mind that my answer is coming from a woman who is 48 years old and not into playing silly games. smile You don't have to text a love letter to the guy. But you've gotta remember, some guys are just as shy as you are pretending to be. So, if you really like this guy and you think he likes you ... text hello.

Either way is just fine. Whoever has something to say first!

Do not text, do not call.  Part of the attraction to a woman is the chase.  If he is interested then allow him the pleasure of pursuing you.
