Name some things which you think you know about Jesus but were NEVER told to you.
John L. Bell wrote this interesting book entitled "10 Things they never told me about Jesus" and has underscored very relevant things about Jesus. Do you have any one of those (which may not necessarily be mentioned by Bell)?
His real name is Joshua, but the Greeks called him "Jesus". The Gospel of Mark was the actual first Gospel and was written almost 40 years after Jesus died. The original narrative said nothing of a Resurrection; though that part was added into the last chapter much later. The other Gospels were written closer to 60 to 70 years after Jesus died. We could go on and on with this one.
I did not realize that Jesus performed a great many more miracles than were high lighted in some scriptures. I did not realize that his name was Jesus and after his crucifixion, he was known as Christ. I have always wondered about Jesus' years in his teens and early adult years and I am sure that we would be well pleased to know about his life, and much more than we have recorded in the new testament of the Bible. The most important thing I know about Jesus is that he was the son of God, born of the virgin Mary, lived in miracles and showed this to all around Him. He was killed by crucifixion on a cross and was the sacrifice for our sins, he was buried and returned from the tomb and lives forever. As followers of him and in his ways, and that if we believe in him and ask forgiveness of our sins, we will join him with his father, our creator, in the spiritual light of Heaven. He was the only perfect human and without sin, and is the way and the life, and I will follow Him and serve Him until it is my time to leave my earthly body and join loved ones and the Trinity in the realm of Heaven.

I have enjoyed many "debates" with folks here on the Hub, but in the long run, its seems those that believe still believe and those that don't still don't. Why is this?Could it be, Christians, that we allow the nay-sayers to have their say while we are trying to not be...

Atheists are looking for evidence to attack the story of Jesus and have been all over the internet saying that Christians stole the myth of Horus. Here is a good article which debunks the lie. Read it and comment:http://www.pleaseconvinceme.com/index/I … Horus_Myth
