   Ouija boards & ghosts - myth or real danger?
   
   As for me, Ouija boards are an intense way for people to get a thrill. However, there may be actual and very real psychological dangers behind the idea that the boards can bring ghosts into "our world". For instance, imagination or even actual psychological trauma associated with believing that the boards can truly cause malevolent entities to "come through" and attack humans, even if such instances are entirely situated in that person's imagination though completely real to them at the same time.

   We love to play with things in the spirit world.  Some don't believe in the spirits, nonetheless, it does not diminish the reality of what can happen when you play in this realm.
   
   The premise behind the Ouija board is seeking answers from the spirit world.  This practice is often referred to as divination.  In the Christian faith, this is prohibited because we are to seek answers only from the Holy Spirit (God's Spirit) for direction and guidance. 
   
   If we seek "another spirit", it would presume to be an evil spirit.  In Jesus ministry, as recorded in the gospels, we see him "casting out" evil spirits from people.  These spirits were very harmful and most often coupled with sickness and disease;:
   
   Mark 1:26
   The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek.
   
   Mark 9:25
   When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the evil spirit. "You deaf and mute spirit," he said, "I command you, come out of him and never enter him again."
   
   Luke 8:29
   For Jesus had commanded the evil spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was chained hand and foot and kept under guard, he had broken his chains and had been driven by the demon into solitary places.
   
   Luke 9:42
   Even while the boy was coming, the demon threw him to the ground in a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the evil spirit, healed the boy and gave him back to his father.
   
   And we see the same ministry carried out by Jesus disciples:
   
   Acts 5:16
   Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evil spirits, and all of them were healed.
   
   Acts 8:7
   With shrieks, evil spirits came out of many, and many paralytics and cripples were healed.
   
   Ephesians 6:12
   For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
   
   I would recommend these hubs by Dr. Pastor Carlotta to understand some of the effects that these evil spirits can have on a person- even if they believe it is all in a person's head.

   I believe it's a real danger to those who participate. Not in the physical sense, but in the spiritual sense. If one doesn't have a strong spritual base in Christ and begins to dabble in this type activity, then it can open the door for a real demonic attack.  There are warnings in the Bible against this practice, as bayareagreathting states in her answer. It is all too real. I've seen it with my own eyes.

   The dead do not come back to haunt us, because they are dead.  They know nothing.  Meanwhile, devils/evil spirits/demons can take the form of dead people.
   
   The Ouija board is just one of many means that Satan will use to employ his angels to do his work.

   It is a real danger to play with things like auja board and things like that.
   Actually the word "playing" with it is a deceptive usage. we are not playing with it but instead, the one who uses it is asking for help from dark angels.
   The real danger is, once someone is done with whatever purpose he/she uses it, he goes his way but those spirits never leave you unless it has done what THEY need with you.
   Christ clearly speaks against the usage of such things and we should keep away from those.

   I have tried these things many times and I have yet to encounter anything spooky, ghostly or spiritual in any way shape or form.
