thank you so much for this answer, I agree a pastor must not lord it over the congregation...I just believe that there must be a level of cooperation or agreement between the pastor and church members or the work of God may suffer
Agreed. Hey if I'm ever in Nigeria, I'll have to remember to stop by your church! :)
YOU have no place as a Christian leader, YOU are disqualified by YOUR statements. YOUR church, obey YOU, easier for YOU to LEAD them ( into YOUR error). YOU are "lording it over them" which completely disqualifies YOU. YOU are a hireling
And you, celafoe, are a mean-spirited person. No need to use such unjustifiably bitter words. You're practically throwing a fit like a three year old. Are you unable to state your disagreement without going into a tirade?
>Caleb- There is nothing mean spirited about celafoe's comment. And evidently you don't understand celafoe point. Cute Edge Question and his comments is typical of those pastor's who RULE over THEIR church as if the own it.
Celafoe I agree with y
You can't possibly know how this man lives simply by one question he posts. What we CAN know is that it's possible to get your point across without blasting someone like YOU are The Lord in Heaven. Agreed?
Caleb- No, like you I checked his profile and other Hub's. False doctrine like most other churches out there. So he is no different than any of the other greedy pastors.
caleb-- no tirade, no bad spirit but you do not understand scripture any better than he does. you both need to read James and Timothy.. his methods are not those of the true church, they are contrary to new testament teaching
Whatever you may say, you DO have a bad spirit about it...

thank you sir, I will keep loving them
thank you sir. Firstly you are saying that teaching the congregation to love their the pastor(shepherd) makes the pastor a misfit as he is excluded from benefiting from God's instruction to be loved (love your neighbour as yourself)? you know d word
Cute Edge- You are the same as everyone else " a neighbour". As such you should be loved as the commandment goes. I could care less about your position ( or anyone elses) as "pastor". It's not going to MAKE someone love you any more or less.
cute- no, he is saying assuming the role of pastor (priest) and structure of the temple which was done away with at the cross is error. A sign of being a part of the apostate "church of man" church system, which God detests. clergy/laity system

wao! it is really interesting to see that out of so many answers, only Caleb is a genuine christian the rest are too condemning and judgmental for just a question, am already judged...what would Jesus say to all these comments that are full of anger
You threw the net at your feet by asking the question.
we are only answering YOUR question with scriptural help. If you are truly called of God and are willing to stop following men & serve and follow Him, I will be happy to help you but you must start over and follow scripture
