Islam teaches to give in charity and not fear that you will be left without provisions and as guarantee God promises, He is the sustainer. Then the charity goes first to the nearest to you.
Islam likes to build a world of peace and brotherhood, but one where there is a teacher and a learner - not all men are equal and not all men are their priest.

All humans, are Humans first ... Muslims, Jews, and Christians etc., later ...

    All humans have feelings ...

    All humans must endure Life.

All humans must die at the end of life.

All humans are answerable to God, for their Actions.

    All Humans are Equal ...

    All humans have Rights.

    All humans have Obligations.

    All humans have Duties.

All humans are supposed to Practice, what they Profess, and
    Preach ...

All Humans must abstain from abusing the other's Belief and God ...
All of us have been Created by the Same Creator ... we may call by different Names.
All humans who have Good in life, must share it,  with their lesser advantaged fellow Humans ... without hurting the dignity, of ones with whom, the Good is being shared.

Peace is mentioned extensively in the Koran and here are some samples of its verses:-

1- Chapter 25 The Standard - Al-Furqan: Verse 63 ( And the servants of (Allah) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, "Peace!" )

2- Chapter 2 The Cow - Al-Baqara: Verse 182 ( But if anyone fears partiality or wrong-doing on the part of the testator, and makes peace between (The parties concerned), there is no wrong in him: For Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful )

3- Chapter 2 The Cow - Al-Baqara: Verse 224 ( And make not Allah's (name) an excuse in your oaths against doing good, or acting rightly, or making peace between persons; for Allah is One Who heareth and knoweth all things )

4- Chapter 28 The Story - Al-Qasas: Verse 55 (  And when they hear vain talk, they turn away therefrom and say: "To us our deeds, and to you yours; peace be to you: we seek not the ignorant )

5- Chapter 49 The private apartments- Al-Hujraat: Verse 9 ( If two parties among the Believers fall into a quarrel, make ye peace between them: but if one of them transgresses beyond bounds against the other, then fight ye (all) against the one that transgresses until it complies with the command of Allah; but if it complies, then make peace between them with justice, and be fair: for Allah loves those who are fair (and just)
