If there was a choice between a happy afterlife or none, which would you choose and why?
I would choose happy afterlife. Because it has happy in it. I am all for happy anything. If none had happy in it I would choose that too.
I would choose afterlife. You know why? because if there is an afterlife and you eff-ed up this life.... then your screwed unless God has mercy on you. Now if you prepared for the next life and there isnt an after life. WELL then who cares cause you died and thats it. but if there is then HOORAY and rejoice in the "happy afterlife"
We have exactly that choice...If we live our entire lives in a selfish and depraved manner without ever reaching a penitent self appraisal we will be consumed by flame to nothing when we face God.
On the other hand; if we accept Gods grace, and live out our lives in a manner acceptable to him, passing along our blessings and revealing Gods grace to others, then we will attain the the happy afterlife you speak of.
I do not think that means sitting on cloud nine, playing a harp like some sort of cartoon "living in the same place forever".
Instead, I believe that our afterlife will include participation in the divine nature of God. From there, let your imigination soar to the furthest reaches of a universe and a heaven where God has prepared both work for you to do, and a banquet that will never leave hunger in your heart.
I'd choose happy afterlife because it means there is a life after our life here on earth. None = 0 nothing.
Jaymeyaroh,
Wow, such condecence in your answer
Well I agree w/ Dave nothing =0
I also feel that we had to come from something
nothing comes from nothing
Yes, I would choose a happy afterlife, esp as it were defined by the church in that it's like bliss
besides the idea of nothing after death is empty
and if I have "no soul" well what life do I have in me? How am I alive if I am just flesh?

Why say God isn't good if were only reaping what we sowed for?Why complain about all the destruction when it is our sins that has caused it?If we would repent and turn from our sins all this sad stuff wouldn't be taking place. God gave us a choice- choose blessings or curses- He even gave a hint...

Is our destiny in God's hands or do we actually have free will, being that God knows all?
