People nowadays are so indifferent about God in so many ways, most people prefer not to talk about God completely.

What do you think is responsible for this?

According to who? Who do you base this assumption on, certainly not me or people like me, that's for certain. God is alive and well in the hearts of billions of believers and followers. You must be talking to the wrong people.

This question of yours is bias seeking to attract only those who will agree, and for sure you will disagree with anything believers have to say in opposition.

Exposure, the more exposed the beliefs of religions, the less they are taken seriously.

When presented with the proper data and the correct interpretation and the overwhelming evidence of historical documentation, anyone without prior brainwashing and carnal indoctrination and those with less ego than materialists will believe: God always honors the sincere heart.

When presented with the proper data and the correct interpretation and the overwhelming evidence of historical documentation, anyone without prior brainwashing and carnal indoctrination and those with less ego - are definately not followers of any god.

We have already covered most of these points in threads where you and the other misguided folk have been shown clearly that you are wrong - to simply ignore those arguments where you clearly lose the argument and credibility - and just carry on like this as though they never happened - is dishonest.

You have been shown that there is no historical evidence for your jesus, except in one set of books from one self-interested source.
You have been shown that the main 'witness' never witnessed anything that he wrote about and could well be the originator of the false doctrine predicted by your jesus figure in his own 'book'.
Religion clearly is the mother and father of all indoctrination and brainwashing.

The opinions highlighted here do make some sense, but i still find one thing very intriguing. And that is: Man want to be as free as he want. He is always ready to go to any length to make what he believe come to pass.

That's Godly attribute he is manifesting, It therefore becomes imperative for him to go closer to the supernatural source of life:God.

But this is hardly the case in the world today, so many people are way out of  the way of God.

With all the relentless debates among atheists, new atheists, theists, apologetics, religious fundamentalists, agnostics etc... there are many who pick their belief/disbelief and keep quiet about it since these debates get nowhere. As for the indifference, God has become a matter of complete insignificance and this reflects upon whatever conclusion they draw.

1)God is only an emotional need and delusion...and man-made just like religion.
2)The idea that perhaps due to all the suffering and pain, there might not be an all-powerful and loving God who cares about us wonderful creatures.
3)The ridiculous ignominy at being judged by someone whose existence has not been proven by science.
4)The righteous and satisfying arrogance that comes from judging God itself.
5)Free will is beautiful (even if it's partial).
6)Religion is destructive and inhibiting by nature.
7)Morality is not as black-and-white as it seems and shouldn't be.

There's a lot more and I wouldn't say that this indifference is because people have grown smarter or wiser and that those who believe in God are blinded irrational fools...it's too narrow an observation.

Selfishness.  They don't want to see God for who and what He is because they love themselves more than the Creator.

The love of God is growing cold in the hearts of men because we are in the last days. "In the days, the love of men shall wax cold..."

Many people spend all their time trying to analyze everything intellectually, logically, leaving out things outside the realm of solely intellect, discounting all else as meaningless, pointless, and false. Analyzing love is not the same as experiencing and sharing it.

To be Godlike is a great guideline to follow from time to time. Yet to Kill in the name of God is insane. Each person need to find their balance for themselves, for me love the glue that keep the world together and the most important behavior a person can have in the world

that's exactly where i am heading, very funny and strange beliefs and dogma is flying every where, thanks to the internet, we still have our senses intact.

Nice to hear this level of understanding. God is God and no force on earth can upturn that for sure.

Religion itself is part of the problem.  When believers believe in dogma beyond their own sense of self, and lack the ability to experience themselves as the center of their own reality, ie looking outside of themselves to a deity taught to be a separate omnipresence, then people are not going to stay attached to it for very long. And history shows this to be the case.

Fundamentalism is caught up in it's own passionate sense of righteousness and control, and negates the true understanding of humanity.

"God" is a force and an unlimited undefinable part of our core.  Dogma won't change that and religion in it's present form won't stand the test of time - because it's way too limited.

People en-mass are seeing through the falseness and wanting more than organized religion can offer.

And as the world stands today, man is way out of touch with himself.  He is too busy with external goings on that he has no time to ponder his most important reasons for being here.  Himself.  It is how the world has structured itself.  God represents the Self, and when a person is out of touch with their own sense of value beyond materialistic pulls, there is no pondering on the value of themselves as an emanation of God.

As a person reads the bible they cannot help but notice that God is external from ourselves.

Funny. That wasn't my take on the message in the gospels. How could God know your thoughts if he wasn't inside of you? Or, is he just psychic?

He is a word in the page of a book, nothing is more powerful than the written word... except maybe an eraser or whiteout.

Is white out or eraser or  delete a form of blaspheme I wonder because  human make plenty of mistakes or make up things from  theirs own discretion.

Dose the amazing 'supernatural' big man direct the hand of a prophets writing like a meat puppet?
Can a writer be charged and imprison blasphemy for making wrong translation?
That is a hell of a lot of pressure even I would make wrong translations, then screw up every bodies souls on earth and be sure cursed by  an anger God,

Thank God it was not job, wait Satan invented job.

Good grief Felix you're trying to gage the condition of God's followers in a place like this?!  Rest assured that the followers of God are around you and are steadfast, they just know better than to deal with the riff raff.
