Facebook is a public network...if you post things in your profile, of course strangers will be able to judge you.  Do I?  Don't bother with F*C*BOOK...waste of time and energy.  Don't feel like recruiting strangers as "friends" and don't much care for the "friends" that tried to link to me.  I use it for business, basically, and that's all.  Don't even want to do that, but I do not know how to delete my account.  Bothersome emails...stupid posts...etc. and so on.  If you want to be judged...by strangers...based on your own stupidity...facebook is the place to do it.  Have fun.  Best of luck in your future endeavors.  If you know how to delete an account, I would certainly be interested in that.

I do not judge people by their social website profiles but sometime their postings do give an idea about their mindset. Like if someone posts too many pics of pets, then it suggests that the person love animals. However, it should not be the only medium to judge people as facebook is full of so many fake profiles. I like to add only those people whom I know. I think that FB is a very good platform to be get in touch with your long lost friends.

Thanks for answering here. You are right, it gives some idea about their interest and you can connect with some friends with whom, you have lost touch.

Absolutely not! That would be like judging the content of a book, before you even open the first page.  To add, I use Facebook very little and only do so when checking in on family.

No absolutely not. Facebook is social site where people come over to interact and most of the time this interaction involves fake information. Some people come over these social networking sites to just escape from reality and form a world which  they desired. So judging a person whom you would never meet and know is baseless.

But at the same time I know if you are joining some social network like facebook and post your information and thoughts about things. Other people will judge it whether they accept it or not. But the point is whether you use your judgement to make personal opinions about them.

As far as I am concerned the answer is a big NO. Personality of a person is divided into four parts:
    1. Known to you and known to the public.
    2. Known to you only and unknown to others including your spouse.
    3. Known to public but not known to you.
    4. Neither known to you nor known to public.
2nd and 4th part of personality traits are hidden traits.
If some one's personality  quotient is more than 90% falling in 1st part then public might reach near the real profile and judge a person.  Even then it has its own limitations as You can not be whole Public and while talking about the Facebook Profile, the profile may be an imaginary profile with nothing shared on the web. It may take another one generation to rely or judge a person by Facebook profile and interests.

Not into FB because others judge.
I wish FB would dissolve into thin air.
