i have a dog which is a samoyed, looks like this one in the picture and a kitten which is a russian cat, love both of them. they both have unique characteristics which liven up my home.
I'm not a "cat person", per se, but I do like them and appreciate the fact that they're low maintenance, pretty much born house broken, and don't require constant attention. Dogs are fun, but especially for "indoor dogs", can be a bit of a P.I.T.A. at times, not to mention slobbery. And I've never really understood the attraction to "alternative" pets... fish are boring as hell, snakes and lizards and the like would sooner eat you than show you affection.
I'd have to say that even though I love my two dogs and my cat, hermit crabs are the most fantastic pets I've ever had!
