my mum was holding my hamster and it jumped out of her hand , it fell from about 1m up and it...
landed on carpet we only had him yesterday and after he jumped he landed on his back we put him in his cage ASAP and hes huddled in 1 corner and his coats ruffled, will he be ok!?
poor creature. Wait a day or two and you will see. maybe he is only in shock and that's the reason he is in that corner.
Could very well be a spinal or brain problem. Hamsters do not have a depth perception, which is why one should not hold it above the ground
How is your hamster doing now? I hope he is OK. I have a hamster that leaped out of the Petsmart worker's hand the day I got her. She landed with kind of a "splat" on the floor at Petsmart, but I felt sorry for her and bought her anyway. That was 2 years ago and she is just as energetic as ever. I hope your hamster is the same way.
