There is no problem as long as its your dog- meaning its healthy and sees the vet every 3 months.
The dogs mouth has less bacteria then the human mouth. If the dog is healthy, there will be no disease to transfer.... I think the only one that could be transferred from dog to human would be rabies, and most dogs are vaccinated for that annually.
