    I wouldn't. A friend of mine used one in their dog's house. It bleached its fur and it got "sun burned."

    To be honest, I haven't tried to do this, so I don't know exactly.  I'd be a bit concerned about it.  My first gut reaction would be to say "no."

    It would be better to go with other alternatives in order to keep your cat warm.  Take a look at my Hub & see what my great readers have suggested,  there are some great recommendations throughout the Hub.  Also, you might want to check out the following link - it's got some great ideas for shelters.

    Also - you might want to look into some low wattage bulbs & fixtures in a farm supply store.  It's important to farmers to keep chicks warm until they grow large enough to be safe all year long.  I've no doubt that the same techniques will keep your cat warm, as well as safe.
