Can I put a wild 1 week old bunny in with 2 day old domestic bunnies?

    Can I put a wild 1 week old bunny in with 2 day old domestic bunnies?

    I have 2 baby rabbits I found outside and I was wondering if it would be ok to put them in with the 5 babies that were just born to my domestic rabbit?  My doe has 3 open nipples and she is feeding her own babies very well.  She doesn't go into the nest box except to feed at dusk; I could take some of her fur she pulled and put it into a different box and get the 2 wild rabbits covered in her scent before I place them in with the other litter.

    It might be Ok as far as the mother rabbit accepting the babies and the babies getting along. I would worry some about the wild babies bringing in diseases that your tame bunnies don't have resistance to. You'll need to decide whether or not you want to take that risk.

    female rabbits will sometimes eat their young if their family unit is disturbed.  It may be okay to add the wild rabbit but if it were in my care I would not do so until the domestic baby rabbits were larger. Rabbits, though really cute, can be violent and the Doe may turn on the wild rabbit.
