    I believe it's the reindeer.  It seems that every Christmas the inconsistency in reindeer images always comes up.  That is, Santa's reindeer should not be shown with antlers because male reindeer do not have antlers.

    Jerry is almost right,

    The answer is Reindeer, and he is partly right about the misconception on Christemas cards and in the choice of names for Santa's reindeer team. 

    They shouldn't be Rudolf, and other male names, if they have antlers at Christmas then they should  all have female names because although both Male and Female Reindeer sport antlers the males shed theirs long before December.
