Yes. I don't know how they did it. But I have seen it been done. Freaked me out for the rest of the night.
I don't know about training one, but I had one cat that trained himself. A real shocker the first time I caught him at it.
Didn't last, though. He did well until the time he fell in. That was the end of using the toilet.
I've trained my cat to use the toilet. Now I'm teaching him how to flush.
We had a Siamese cat that taught himself to urinate on the stool. He just watched my son and tried it. After that he just used the stool.
