Do dogs that are almost all white have a tendency to have more skin problems and why?

Up until about 2 years ago I've not had any white dogs and I never really thought about it until they started having numerous skin issues. When I was talking to a lady at the flea market she said that dogs predominantly white are prone to skin issues. Anybody know if that's true or have a white (almost white) with same issues?

I never heard of that before.  I have a mostly white dog, but he's never had any skin issues.

Before attributing it to their color, I would look at other factors such as their diet, allergies, and/or grooming practices.
