    No, they don't drink through their trunks, but they do use their trunks to help them drink.

    An elephant's trunk is it's nose.  Drinking through their trunks would be similar to if a human tried to drink through their nose.

    But elephants can use their trunks to suck up water.  They suck up and hold the water inside their trunks, then blow the water into their mouths.

    Elephant nostrils can suck up about 10 liters of water into their trunk and blow it into their mouth. That’s how they drink water. Baby elephants suck their mother’s milk directly through their mouth. read more

    No. It draws water into its trunk, and then squirts the water from its trunk into its open mouth.

    Not very sure but I feel an elephant sucks in water in the trunk and then pumps it out into its mouth.
