Is your Terrier Dog as stubborn as mine?

My lab/American Staffordshire Terrier mix listens to my commands, looks at me and then continues with what he's not supposed to be doing.

Bob (terrier mix pictured) has a technique of pressing himself to the ground when he doesn't want to do something. On walks when it's a bit warm for example or when you want him to go in the car. Yes he's small enough to drag - but that makes me feel awful!
Terriers are cussed individuals with bags of charm.

My neighbors terrier is as brilliant and as stubborn as they come. We live in a condo complex and he knows most neighbors. On command you can mention, "want to go see (name) and upon opening the door he runs to the right door for a visit. Now tell him it's time to go inside after a walk he looks at you, turns around, and lays in a patch of grass like he doesn't understand a word you say. Yes, I get it.

Our dog gets stubborn when we are living. He will get out and will not get inside the house. My husband has to carry him in.

I have a Jack Russell Terrier and she does what she wants when she wants.  She kicks the trash can when she is hungry and waits for me to fix her chicken.  When it is cut up and ready for her I sit it down.  She doesn't rush over and gobble it up -- she waits a few minutes and then goes over to her dish and quietly enjoys her meal.
We have a couch and love seat that face each other.  If I say come here Brandy she runs to my husband.  If he says come here Brandy she runs to me.  I don't get it.
