I am a Felt Maker and would like to request that Felting be included in the categories under Arts & Design. My Hubs do not currently fit into a specific topic which people might be searching for.
Please could HubPages Staff give this some consideration. There may be other subjects which others writers wish to have included as well!
We currently have the following topics under Arts & Design:-
Art and Design
Crafts and Handiwork
• Textile Dyeing
• Textile Spinning
There are so many sub-titles we could use in so many areas it would be impossible to add them all. Perhaps HP could have a yearly contest and pick the top five or something like that.
I find it frustrating not being able to put my Hubs into the correct category - Felting began over 5000 years old ago and has wide popular appeal worldwide. A craft as old as this should deserves ti be associated with all of the wool crafts shown above.
I agree sallybea! I've just put my needle felting tutorials under the general category of "textiles", but it would be helpful if there was a sub-category for felting, right along with knitting and crochet. Of course, then felting could be broken down into needle felting, wet felting, etc.
Beautiful work on the boots.
I also get frustrated when there is no clear category for my topic. :-) Good luck with TPTB
We have a new category, felting etc., under Arts.
I believe that HubPages Staff are always willing to take a look at your request and grant it too - especially if they feel it may improve the site.
Thanks for the lovely comment re the boots
:-) wasn't a snarky good luck. I didn't mean like "well good luck with that!".
Just a literal good luck in it working out for you. It was a good idea.
I know HP staff is awesome and very fair and attentive.

Dunno who is in charge of this section these days...... but could I request three things please?1. Could we get some alphabetization of the hub group titles in the drop-down menu on the hub editor itself? It's alphabetized in other places, but it's really a pain to have to scroll up and down when...

Hello HubMobsters, hope you all had a great Easter weekend. I am sure you did and to top it up the good news are that the Easter HubMobs reached a peak 7700+ views last week. Sweet isn't it?Want more good news? Ryan Hupfer just told me that he is choosing the highest score hub of...

Elsewhere on the forums people are reporting very long delays in getting indexed by Google - the delays seem to be increasing. Obviously this has been caused by the NOINDEX tag added to new hubs when under review and to ZZZ hubs while being reconsidered. Surely this is of concern to HP? As a writer...

Is it possible to run this as a thread for suggestions for categories missing from the existing category listFor example - any chance of an "Art Business & Marketing" category under Arts and Design?

I mean seriously. I know that ethics trumps business is a minority opinion (not referring to HP).That first thread sure totally disappeared. I mean seriously and totally gone. Probably for the best. Don't bring it back. I really do just simply want full status with HP. Nothing more. Nothing...

Thanks to all the HubMobsters who took part in the Crafts & Handiwork HubMob, your contributions were outstanding. Some of you made it to the front of the category page for Arts and Crafts, while others gained first place in Google's front pages. Even more importantly, I believe...
