The best art portfolio is your head...'cause you carry it about and cannot lose it to theft.
But the physical portfolio is limited in mobility. Sometimes you meet a prospective art merchant who want to give you a commission to produce artwork, but you may lose the deal because you don't have your folio around.
So a good artist must always be prepared to show his skill at all time.
