Is a piece of art more meaningful if it takes years to produce?
Not necessarily. Sometimes it takes a long time to produce because the artist was not satisfied with the results so he/she tried it again and again. Sometimes the efforts were paid off, sometimes it was just a waste of time.
I am currently working on a series of world war two art and the latest piece has so far taken 6 months. I will take as long as neccessary to get it right though. i have done pieces in 2 weeks before, so I don't think it really matters unless you are working to a client's deadline.
