Do you prefer art based off of something real, or generated from the imagination?
People, places, things?
Or ideas, concepts, and abstract?
I think to draw somthing unreal is more interesting, extremely for people who love creative things.
Imagination most definately as it's limitless to create new stuff and more interesting to look at. a real life scene looks good, but you can see that in real life and that seems boring. It's only the techniques of creating real life stuff that is fascinating, like how the artist arrived at a certain piece.
I believe all art is based in some form off the imagination. The person forming the work must have some thought process in order to give it life...that becomes the imagination. Even though the individual may just be welding pieces of metal together, the form never really becomes art until imagination is applied. WB
