Most shows more than likely add things to keep people tuning in to each episode. In fact, a lot of reality television shows stage things to add to the drama, action or suspense to the theme of the show - why wouldn't they? If they didn't exploit things a little, no one would watch the show. It would be boring.
My belief is that they are junk science. There instruments do nothing of significance and prove nothing. Why don't they investigate in the daytime or with the lights on? Because there is nothing there, that's why. All TV shows hype up the pitiful truth to make it entertaining. Even the Discovery Channel, TLC, and History Channel all hype the stories and add to the truth to make the shows exciting. I have written a lot about this in my hubs.

What is reality? That is, what makes something real? For example: Is sound real to a deaf man? Are colors real to a blind man? Is the imaginary friend of a child any less real than God to a Catholic?
