Which principle of Graphic Design is the most important and why?
Of all the graphic design principles: emphasis, contrast, balance, repetition, alignment, and flow which would you say is the MOST important to a strong design and why?
I don't think any 'one' is 'most' important. It firstly depends on the target of the design and what it's for. Certain designs may need to have an emphasis on alignment but others could depend on a balance of repetition.
The most important thing for design is it's objective. Colour is also a very important consideration because if reflects mood and seasons. Not many people realize that colour pallets come in and out of fashion all the time.
In order to create a perfect and innovative design, you have to take your own time. So time is very important in designing. If you spend more time with the design, then you can experiment everything on your work. Great thinks can't created quickly!! This principal is not only true in graphic designing but also in every field of work.
One of the keys to all great design — whether architecture, graphics, interiors, fashion, or consumer products — is to keep your eyes open. read more
