Can you use the iPad as a graphics tablet?
I am wondering if it can compete with something like a Wacom Bamboo or similar device.
Yes you can. This is why I bought my iPad, but I haven't actually used it in such a way as yet! Depending on how you want to use it, it is possible. Eg, if tracing an outline around a photo, an iPad is great, when coupled with appropriate software. I think you can get an iPad version of photoshop, or something similar that allows this. You can get a stylus from Wacom, who are the company who make some of the best graphics tablets, that is intended for using the iPad in this way. Another way to do it, is to get an app that pairs the iPad with your computer. This means you can control your existing graphics software from the iPad, and use all of your existing brushes and things like that. I know this is a bit late, but hope it helps!
