    Would you ever ride a motorcycle without wearing a helmet?

    In a couple states, it is legal to drive, or ride without wearing a helmet. Would you take the risk of being on a motorcycle without wearing a helmet?

    Absolutely! Up until 1992 it was legal in California to ride "lidless." Now I follow the law and wear a helmet, but when we are crossing a state where the law doesn't require it, I take it off.

    darn right i would. i hate the fact that it's a law to wear helmets or seat belts.it's my body and i should be able to risk it if i want. i think that when you become an adult, you should be able to set your own safety standards.

    I firmly believe that it should be a matter of personal choice to wear a helmet or not and shouldn't be a matter for the government to decide by passing laws. That said, I would never ride on a public street without a helmet. I value my head and with as many incompetent drivers as there are on the roadways, I want to have all the protection I can get, so I'll be wearing the old brain bucket.
