Why do some co-workers wish you a good morning while they resent you?
maybe to make themselves look good in front of the boss or other employees.
or maybe just from habit.
I believe most of them are still half asleep at that time of the morning, and it's mostly just out of force of habit. If they truly mean it or not is another story.
The same exact reason when you say hello to your next door neighbor that keeps parking his car on your space - it is simply out of good manners. Whether you like a person or not you acknowledge their presence to be polite whether saying 'hi' or nodding your head', otherwise you'll look like some rude and abrupt person with bad upbringing, who has no class whatsoever, hates everyone and everything and it doesn't look like a good image, isn't it? On the other hand, you give your co-workers too much credit, really. Resentment and hate are very strong feelings. They are almost on the same level as love. So tell me, why would somebody spend their life energy on resenting somebody they don't really care about in the first place? Don't take it to heart, take it easy. You might not favor somebody either but you are not bending your brains over it. There always will be somebody you don't particularly like, you can't please everyone either. So, relax, just say 'hi' back and move on. Do your job and you won't have time to be upset over somebody giving you 'bad eye'. Stay happy, smile back and you'll be sunshine personified, all clouds will vanish!
Your colleagues may be two-faced. People don't like to be seen to be rude, it might hurt their own 'image'. The philosophy is: Best say 'Hello' in a friendly manner and have everyone think you're a decent up-standing type, than let them see you for what you are. Don't take it personally. Like as not it's the way they're raised. You don't need to cultivate their friendship, if it's not there in the first place.

Is there that one mistake you have made that you wish you could go back and make it a 'do over'?Is there some decision you made that later turned out to be one that you later regretted, big time? Hindsight truly does seem to be 20/20. If we knew all of the answers before we make a choice, it...
