Please give an example of when you gave exceptional customer service.
For me having customer care number such as toll free number to which you can easily get in touch with is one indication that you are serious with the business and you care for your customers. Even with the rise of online shopping, customers would always prefer to talk live to a person when asking questions or placing orders.
Once, while working at Newark Airport, I escorted a stranded Polish passenger with no ability to speak English to his hotel after re-booking him for a flight the next day. I had the translation desk tell him in Polish everything that I needed him to understand before we left for the hotel. Before leaving the hotel, I set his alarm clock for the following morning.
