You're going to have to make some Hubs if you wish to have the potential for earnings.
The FAQ details all the possible affiliate options.
Write really interesting hubs about a topic you know well.
Choose a topic that is popular/in demand.
Create links to your hubs to increase traffic and awareness of your hubs.
Make sure you have all of your information set up with your google adsense account & other affiliate sites that pay you through here.
Set a goal of how many hubs you will write in a day, week, or month and stick to it. One hub a year about the mating rituals of earth worms is not going to do it.
One of the best ways to make money on content sharing sites is to pick a topic that you are passionate about, then sign up with the various affiliate programs such as Amazon, Kontera, Adsense and Ebay.
The key is to try and match your content with the various affiliate's so that you can get organic traffic. Learning keyword research as well as understanding how people search for information online is a good starting point.
