Yes, I believe that a positive mindset is a vital part of career success. A person can be highly intelligent and graduate magna cum laude from an Ivy League University and have a negative attitude towards his/her work and his/her boss thus making it difficult for him/her to succeed in the workplace. On the contrary, a person who graduates with a C average from a State University can have such a positive attitude towards his/her work that his/her colleagues and boss consider him/her as a go-getter and place him/her on the fast track to success.
Because people with a positive mindset are people who believe in themselves. They don't let petty failures or mess-ups stop them from acheiving their goals. They also see the glass as half full instead of half empty, and this motives them to keep a great atitude (which will bring success in itself). Of course, nobody is completely perfect, but many of these traits are keys to success in any aspect of life.
