Does the dream of the lottery prevent you earning your fortune?

Does the illusion of winning the lottery prevent you from earning your fortune through hard work applied in the right area?

Wow!  Good question.  I think it does.  If energy is put toward thing where the results are certain, then we know things will happen.  If those energies are used for uncertainties, like the lottery, then they will not be used for hard work applied in the right area like you said.

The lottery is foolish... Dave Ramsey gave a speech about the foolsihness of it and the person who clings to it as their financial "salvation". Hard work not only builds finances, it builds character.

No, I work hard every day sometimes for long strectches. I am in construction and need to work when the weather cooperates.

I do drop a buck on the Powerball twice a week though. C'mon it's $60,000,000.
