Should prescription drugs be advertised on TV?
For many years it was illegal to advertise prescription drugs on TV and in magazines. Is it ethical and should it be allowed?
No they should not. There really is no reason for it. If you have an ailment, you should see a doctor regardless of whether or not you saw something on a commercial. The pharmaceutical industry is actually one of the major problems in this country. If these companies can spend so much money on unnecessary advertising, then they can afford to lower their prices.
Never they need to spend money on research and not encourage gullible individuals to run to the doctor to beg for their wonderful drugs that could cure their ills. More than ever drugs are harming people. I do not trust the drug companies nor the FDA.
