Did you have a problem explaining to people that you make money online?

Many people don't understand how anyone can possible make money online. Because they don't understand it, they don't think its possible or think it is a scam and don't take your efforts seriously. How do you explain to someone that your online job is credible and profitable?

I think it depends on how you make your money. When I talk to people about writing articles online, they seem interested and ask questions about SEO, etc. No-one I know thinks it's a scam.

Depending on how you make money online, there are specific terms that describe the work that we all do. Here are some of the common occupations that netizens dwell into to make money from the comfort of their homes. Most reputed job portals will have heaps of listings for the below mentioned roles.

    Website developer
    Affiliate marketeer
    Editor
    Copywriter
    Freelancer

Yes, it happens to me more often then not. If i explain what i do, they look at my like Huh What??? i don't get it.

Quite funny sometimes, and then there are the sceptics as well, like if you do this and you make a living out of it, why doesn't everyone do it?

Stuff like that, even my girlfriend doesn't understand what i do, and if i tell something about a new site a made, or a new project, she looks like, well yeah good for you, but i still don't understand.
    And believe me, she's smart!

oh well, that makes a man/woman look like a real businessman hahaha.

Many of them actually think that earning online is easy and fast earning money. I usually go to them using facts. Regardless if they want to believe or not, I don't really care as all I can do is advise. If you want my advise, I will give you but if you don't believe it, I can't do anything smile
