Do you think using social media increases your chances of finding employment?
Social media now also have a new facet to its already popular social networking benefits. Many people now promote themselves on social networking sites in order to find employment
I think it depends on the venue that you use to find employment and how you use it. Facebook is a great tool if you are middle aged and have all of your college and local friends available to network to. Linkedin is good too.
All of these social networks are good depending on what use you have for them and what you are asking of your friends and those you know casually. I've used networks to find jobs or let the word get out that I was looking with some success.
However, if you use your social network page to rant and it is filled with garbage it could work against you.
Yes I do because most companies are using social media and it is a faster and more efficient way to get your credentials to the employer. Job seekers can showcase their experience and work a lot better. LinkedIn is the best social media site for employment followed by Google and Facebook.
Yes it is. Social Media like facebook, twitter and myspace are effective way of the vendor to promote or advertise its business. This is widely used in our economy nowadays.

One thing people should do when using HubPages or any other social media site is to pick a memorable name. Some people like the anonymity of the web and will use an alias. When you pick an alias pick something memorable like Drax, or jimmythejock. Try to avoid names with numbers...
