I help with websites to neonatal care NGO and with fundraising activities. Selling their products through e-shop. http://nedoklubko.cz , we are from Czech Republic. Your handmade help is kinda same like our project "mothers for mothers", but with different stuff made for babies smile

I work at a food bank twice a week, and also me and a group of friends make baby blankets for new moms, and make quilts for homeless in the winter.

I volunteer at my children's school, mainly inside their classrooms, to grade exams, prepare homework handouts, and help with group activities.  I sometimes chaperone short field trips.

I work as a volunteer for Oxfam. I sort through the donated clothes and get them steamed, priced and onto the shop floor. I also cash up and sort out refunds etc.

I used to work in the Parenting Library and Services as a volunteer librarian, recently I work as a Counselour volunteer to help with addictive behaviours and as
an art guide for Primary School students for our National Art gallery. I love volunteering as I have learnt new skills and meet many interesting people I would not meet and learn otherwise.

I bake for a residential care home a few times a year. I bring them cookies and goodies and visit with them.  I gather up as many youngsters as I can to help and we have a good time.
People would be surprised by the number of shut ins who are not elderly, but ill who get little or no visitors.
On Easter I make baskets, with food items they're allowed. Christmas is a stocking with goodies from Santa. I crochet sox for anyone who needs them, they just give me a size.
It sounds like a lot, but I've done it for so long now that I have it down to a science and if I don't have time to bake, I buy!

Wow! What wonderful work you do. Yes, shut ins are not exclusive to the elderly. Many people suffer great illness in youth. Thanks for involving the young folks in your work. You are a fine example for them to follow.
