Do you have any low cost advertising suggestions for a thrift store?

I just took over as the manager of a non-profit thrift store, and am looking for more ways to advertise the shop on a VERY limited (i.e. basically 0 dollars) advertising budget!  Do you have any creative suggestions?

    1. Create a website or blog about the thrift store and send e-mails out.
    2. Put an event together, like a silent auction, using items in the shop. A few flyers can be at a very low cost. Or even a secret prize for the "1,000" customer... or any number that would be reasonable for the town. The event will cause word-of-mouth and more people will know about it through that.
    3. Make a facebook page that people can like.
    4. Get some volunteers in the neighborhood to create a fashion show using only things found in the thrift store. Ask them to invite friends and family. Odds are, they will post online and talk about it with friends causing more people to want to see it.

Those are wonderful ideas but be sure to add 'directories' to your efforts. Search 'local directories' on the web and make sure you are listed on them - if not, add your business. People use the internet more than phone books to find a business.
