Unfortunately I hear them quite often. I'm not a person who can stand hearing anyone making those remarks about anyone else. If I overhear someone making either type of remark, I'll tell them to "knock it off" (that's being nice for hubpages). Those people might not stop doing it, but they won't do it in front of me again because they know I'll report them. Some people might think that's a little much to report people, but sometimes it's the only way to make the workplace a better working environment.
I used to work for a cab company and I heard every one you can imagine directed at every race on the planet. They were equal opportunity, I tell ya, but I wouldn't have any of it in my office!
Unfortunately yes. Whenever you get a large number of people together (especially men) then you are going to hear many things that you would rather not here.
