What is more important for employers? Experience or Talent?

    What is more important for employers? Experience or Talent?

    A potential employee or candidate is often left wondering as to what is more important? Talent or Experience? If it is talent then why aren't we having a substantial number of young managers or vice-presidents in most organizations? And if it is experience then why is that a fresh graduate from a reputed university often gets a fatter pay-check than someone with years of experience in the same domain?

    I think it depends on the company and/or who is in charge of doing the hiring. My feeling is that person's tastes and opinions are reflected in who they finally choose.

      Thanks for your reply. And you have made a very good point. So after all, it all boils down to one individual's taste and opinions without actually giving due credentials to the organization's hiring policies. Is that what you are trying to say?

    Depends on the individual employer. I think that both mean different things depending on the job.
