There is no way to get an accurate answer for this question. There are too many variables. How personable is the server? How good is the food? If it is a more upscale restaurant the tips will be higher because of the 15% tip rule and because the patrons usually have more money. Are they working the morning, afternoon, or evening shift? What day of the week is it?
If they work for a fine restaurant they can earn up to $20 for a family! But you can't always know, depending on how god you are and where you are serving.
