In my opinion they should get permission first from HP. nobody can just post and ask for donation.
Also as a readers and authors we need to ensure that we will bring such things to the admin notice.

I should clarify. The hubber says they are desolate and almost homeless.  I'm not criticizing their situation mind you, just wondering if this is allowed.  It seems it could open a can of worms.

They should be flagged. No hubbers are allowed to ask for solicitations. The best place to query this however is in this forum. Place the query there for staff to respond.

HP is a content site that generate income through ad impressions and Amazon/eBay sales and nothing more. Articles should be informative and interesting so that they generate views.

Solicitation defeats the purpose of what HP is about.

There are other places for asking for donations.  It shouldn't happen here.  Yes, lets remember those in need when we are traveling this world.

Hi there, I think it's a bit weird that people who are almost destitute would come onto a site like Hub Pages and ask for donations. My heart goes out to those in genuine need and I do support the charities that look out for them - but something sucks about asking for money on a website. There's no way of knowing if they are con-merchants or legit.

    I would flag it.

I think that they should be flagged. Even if you are mistaken, flagging doesn't mean that they will be deleted. It just means that the hubpages team will review it for violations. So, if you suspect a hub, just flag it!
